Silent Trees
Silent Trees is a study of isolation, presence, and the quiet tension between nature and forgotten industry. Nestled near an abandoned mine outside San Marcos, Utah, these trees stand in strange, almost deliberate formations—out of place yet deeply rooted. Their obscure shapes and sparse arrangement create an eerie stillness, as if frozen in time. The surrounding landscape offers no clear explanation for their existence, making them feel like sentinels guarding a forgotten past. Through a muted color palette and stark compositions, this series captures their quiet resilience and the uneasy beauty of their placement in an otherwise barren space.
